Paul Maierhofer is a patent attorney trainee at SONN Patentanwälte. In his practice he is mainly focused on prior art searches, drafting patent applications and the corresponding prosecution before the national patent offices. Paul Maierhofer works on inventions in the fields of physics, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.

Paul Maierhofer completed his studies in technical physics at Graz University of Technology. In the course of his PhD at the Institute of Electrical Measurement and Sensor Systems at Graz University of Technology, he worked on the development of a highly integrated particle sensor and was able to get to know the patent world from the perspective of an inventor. Paul Maierhofer gained further professional experience as a technical project manager in the semiconductor industry.
