Christmas Donation 2024

Our Christmas donation this year went to the two organizations Lichtblickhof e.motion and Lichtblickhof e.motion.

The Lichtblickhof e.motion children's hospice was founded in 2002 and offers individually tailored therapeutic support for families with seriously ill children. By using specially trained therapy animals, especially horses, the children and their families are helped to deal with major challenges. It also follows the One Health concept, which emphasizes the mutual support of people, animals, plants and the environment. The association is active at two locations in Vienna and Lower Austria and has been operating hospice apartments since 2022 to provide long-term support. Funding is provided by private donations and sponsors, as the association is a non-profit organization. The management is in the hands of a dedicated team of therapists.

Neunerhaus is a social organization in Vienna that enables homeless people and people at risk of poverty to lead a self-determined and dignified life. Its aim is to end homelessness and offer those affected a sustainable improvement in their living situation through support. Every year, over 1,000 formerly homeless people are supported in various housing programs such as Housing First and assisted living. The neunerhaus health center also provides medical care to homeless and uninsured people. For more than 25 years, the organization has been committed to innovative solutions in helping the homeless, such as the Housing First approach and mental health programs. In 2023, a residential home was opened specifically for young adults between the ages of 18 and 30.
