Christmas donation 2008

Our Christmas donation 2008 was given to "Rote Nasen" (Red Nose Clowndoctors), "Menschen für Menschen" and "St. Anna Kinderspital" (Children's Cancer Research Institute).

"Roten Nasen" Clowndoctors are visiting ill and suffering people in hospitals and social organisations using humor to give them energy and courage for facing life.

"Menschen für Menschen" runs a wide range of long-term projects in eleven regions of Ethiopia. These include agricultural and agro-ecological projects, the construction of wells, girls' homes and schools, the improvement of the medical care system and organisation of training programmes. The latter and educational programmes for the betterment of women in society are becoming increasingly intensive.

The "St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung" acts as the supporting organisation for the Children's Cancer Research Institute which conducts specialized research into the causes and improved treatment of malignant childhood diseases.
